After our dramatic first week of funding, things are slowing down a bit, but we nonetheless added another 10k in the last week and are creeping up to 2000 backers!  

If you haven't yet, don't forget to add the Secrets Book to your perks.  We are starting to work on it now.  Get books for your friends as well. 

Thanks for everything folks. This is a dream come true for us to be able to get this out into the world. 

We have some new pin-ups and fan art which will be in the book.  This pin-up is by Felipe Cartin, our amazing colorist.  Felipe's colors for God's'Dog are being praised by a best-selling comic professional, I won't tell you who, but he was on my channel a few days ago, (ahem...) Felipe's pin-up is quite terrifying.

NFT Version

We will be putting out an NFT version of God's'Dog.  The NFTs will unlock access to exclusive PDF versions of the book and have a hierarchy of rarity. This rarity will be based on the inclusion of an extra page which will harbor a key or symbolic clue to some of the hidden patterns which will be throughout the series. The rarest will have the most difficult key and will also include white cover with an exclusive drawing made by  myself. (Seen below)

NFT owners will also be the first to read the book.

The whole team, Matthieu, Cord, Felipe and I are just over the moon to see the kind of support we are getting on this project. 

100k stretch goal is unlocked.  All backers will get a digital preview of book two just two months after the first book is delivered.   

New stretch goals are in sight.  Prints and posters for all backers of the physical book, and finally a digital download of the Secrets of God's'Dog book at 200k.  

If all of us understand that we not only want to publish a book, but open up a whole new possibility of storytelling for the future, I think we can make it past 200k and surprise everyone.  This is the future, folks. 

As we reached 100k, I become nostalgic and found the early announcement from the script scouting agency we submitted God's'Dog to all the way back in 2009.  It is still accessible on the Wayback Machine.   https://bit.ly/307coXZ

In the review on can feel both the excitement about the project and a not-so-subtle judgement on how naive we were to think this could ever be a Hollywood movie...  Here is the text:

We have 100,000$ in our sights!  So here are the new Stretch Goals:

• At 100,000$, we will release a pdf preview of God's'Dog 2 one month after the first book has shipped.  
• At 150,000$, all backers who are getting a physical copy of God's'Dog will get an exclusive print by Jonathan Pageau, his original design for the first appearance of dog-headed Christopher.
  
• At 180,000$, all backers who are getting a physical copy of God's'Dog will receive a 9"x12" copy of the first poster for God's'Dog designed by Cord Nielson.

We reached 50K!  Wonderful.  We are so excited to see where this is going. 

The Secrets of God's'Dog is now unlocked as a perk. 

HERE IS THE ISSUE

I planned to have all of these things, the pdf, the new book only as add-ons which people would go back into their orders and tag on to.  

Turns out you can't do that in Indiegogo.  Hmmm... 

But in a way this is a plus for all, because it forces us to change all the add-on perks into regular perks, meaning that now anyone can buy the PDF download for a measly 10$ or the Secrets of God's'Dog for 15$.  I have also reduced the shipping of the Secrets book, in the hopes that all who order it will have already ordered the book.  

One can also bundle books with a discount on shipping from the main page, but it means that those who were just hoping to add a book to their existing one will not get the reduction in shipping.   

Alright, next stop 100,000$.  Please share, please get books as gifts. The higher we go, the better chance we have of putting out books quicker in the future, as my profits on this will be reinvested in the next books.

We did it!  Minimum funded in one day thanks to all of you!  

Thank you! We are amazed at the support people have put in.  After just one day, we have reached our 30,000$ minimum for making the book, unlocking the pdf version, and we are just shy from reaching 50,000$ to unlock The Secrets of God's'Dog.

Important news about ADD-ONS

In setting up the campaign, I (Jonathan) did not realize I had to unlock the add-ons before we started, and so many of you were confused that you could not add prints, books or other things on checkout.  THIS HAS BEEN FIXED. 

This means, you can go back into your contribution and add things: 

• If you want more copies of the book, with less shipping per volume, you can go back and add them on to your order
• If you purchased original art, the book is not included. If you want to add books or other perks, you need to go back into your order.  
• If you want the PDF file, you can add it to your order. It will be delivered in January.
• Once we reach 50,000$, you can go back and add The Secrets of God's'Dog.
